Tooele party

Here are a couple more pictures of our family gather in Tooele.

Stuff

Wow! Has it really been two weeks since I have posted a blog---and after I had made that goal to post every day for a week. Oh well! Life goes on.

We had a great Easter morning, and then we went to Tooele to hear my newphew, Tyler, speak. He just came home from his mission to Michigan. We had a great time hanging out with family.
I have been busy, but the biggest thing in my life is that I am trying to be better with my scripture study. I don't know why I don't do it better. I have been really good for about a week, and I know that it will make a difference in my life.

SPRING BREAK

Yesterday was our first day of Spring Break. and basically we just hung out. We did have Family Home Evening last night and David reported on the Priesthood Session of General Conference. Our favorite was Elder Uchtdorf's talk where he says, "I am doing a great work and cannot come down." Afterward, some of us went to the library and then we had ice cream for our treat. I don't know what we will do today for Spring Break, but I know that we need to do Nathan's paper route. We will try to get that done soon. Becca has to work all week at Cavanaugh's because they get really busy at Easter time. Soon, she will be heading back to BYU-I (April 16th). I think I will go encourage some action around this place, but for now, no great news or exciting projects going on.

I AM OFFICIALLY A FAILURE!

Well, so much for my goal. I don't know how my cousin Maggie does it. She blogs on her own blog and then has a party blog that she keeps up. Whew! Anyway, I never really know what to write. Maybe Maggie's life is so exciting that she doesn't want for things to write about. I don't know.

Anyway, my sister-in-law, Jen, just had a baby boy yesterday. Congratulations!!! Her baby boy is 7 lbs. 11 ounces and I bet he is a doll. I can't wait to see him.

Day #4?

Here is the workroom at the school. (When I am at the school, I am usually in this room, although I do work in the cafeteria a little bit and I sub in classrooms if I am needed.) In the left hand corner of this room, back by the sink, there is a Cricut machine. A Cricut machine is a computer used to cut out all kinds of shapes. You just punch in a shape on a keyboard and the machine does the rest of the work. It cuts the shapes out like a computer would print something, but instead of ink, it has a blade. It is cool. The last couple of days I have been trying to learn how to use it. We have had it since the beginning of school (seven months), but no one uses it because they don't really know how to. I have learned a lot the last couple of days, but there is so much more to learn. It is really slick how it can cut out shapes so perfectly. We just bought some more cartridges to use in it, so we have a pretty good library of shapes. We just need to start using them.
The teachers have been watching and are showing interest in what they can have done now. It will be fun to see how we can start using this fun machine.

Day #3 (kind of)

Well, it is actually day #4, but really early in the morning. I couldn't sleep and yesterday my computer was acting weird so I couldn't log on. At 2:45 a.m. it is letting me. I have no clue about this high tech stuff. Anyway, not much to say, but I had to keep my goal. I am going to bed.

Day #2

O.K. I got on the computer and realized that I needed to post something in order to keep my goal. Well, what do I say? Anyway, today has been totally wasted. I got up and got the kids to the church for their Primary Quarterly Activity. Our ward is doing a community garden this summer and the Primary children were making signs and planting little starts for the garden. While the activity was on, I went to my friend's house who was having a Bodbe, jewelry, purse, Scentsy party. I wasn't going to buy anything, but I did end up buying a cute swim suit for Becca. It is worth paying a little more to get a modest swim suit, and since Becca is in St. George right now, I hope she likes what I picked out for her. It really is cute. I also bought a brick of wax from Scentsy (my favorite scent--Home Sweet Home). I need a nice summer scent, but I can't get away from my favorite. After that, I went to lunch at my new favorite place--Sego Lily here in Bountiful. I went with my neighbor Debbie and her daughter Jill. Jill used to be one of my Beehives and now she is a cute little mommy. Anyway, I have had fun today, but I really haven't done anything useful. I need to grocery shop, clean a little, and maybe try to be a mom.

It is a beautiful day today.
