My cousin Maggie is amazing at posting blogs almost daily. When I get on the computer and want to check things out, I can always count on her to have something new. I am going to try to blog something new every day for a week. I wonder if I can really do this, and what the heck am I going to blog about? It is a mystery! I do have to share the Lemon Ice Cream recipe in the new cookbook I just put together ($6.50 for anyone interested in buying one). A friend of mine just served it after a ward temple night and it was wonderful.
Lemon Ice Cream
6 c. sugar
2 pt. cream
2 c. lemon juice
2 Tbsp. lemon extract
Whole milk up to the full line in the ice cream maker
Fill the ice cream maker with the ingredients and make according to your ice cream maker directions.
This is a wonderful, refreshing treat. At my friend's house, she served it with fresh strawberries and blackberries--you can't believe how good it was! Try it.

MY BIRTHDAY
Saturday was our (Heather's and mine) birthday. I had a nice day. I woke up and went to a camp meeting, did my Costco shopping, and then went to lunch with my family. Later that night I got to go to dinner with my Mom and Dad and siblings and spouses. We went to Texas Roadhouse and had fun. It was a pleasant, relaxing day for me. I wish I had a picture of Heather and me together, but of course, I left my camera at home and Heather's had just run out of batteries.

SCHOOL STUFF
The top picture is of Nathan's class getting ready to go on their field trip to the Utah Symphony. I got to go along, and it was fun. The conductor was David Cho and he did a cute job explaining different things as the orchestra performed (he would comment inbetween pieces). They started with the Star Wars theme, did something from Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast, Shaharazad (sp?), and one other. I can't remember the composers of the pieces, but they weren't the Disney princes songs.
The bottom picture is Chelsie's Star Student Poster. She got to be the Star Student for her class last week. That meant that she got to be special; be the leader in the line, help the teacher, and get spotlighted on Friday. I went to the class, took treats for them, and talked a little bit about Chelsie. It was fun.
NEW FURNITURE
Also, I got some new bedding for my bed. I think I am done spending money for a long time now.
