NEW STOVE

I loved my old stove, but I grew up with a gas stove and for a long time had been wanting one. Finally, I decided to just go for it. I shopped around for quite a long time at every appliance store in Bountiful, and couldn't find what I really wanted. I loved my Maytag Gemini that was electric, but the gas version had four burners that were squished to one side to make room for the knobs that were on the top. Well, just last month, Maytag came out with a new gas stove that has the knobs on the front of the stove, which allowed for more room for the burners. Finally, I could have my double ovens (with the smaller oven on top), and my gas burners.

It took awhile to get it finally done. My stove was on order for a few weeks, I had to get the plumbers to come and put pipes in for the gas to my kitchen, and then when it finally came, I didn't realize that I had to have a plumber there to hook it up. The installer wouldn't do it because of liability. Anyway, with patience, I finally got my new stove. I love how it looks, and I am really surprised at how I like the ovens. I didn't think they would be so good, but they do a great baking job. The bottom is a convection oven which I don't know how to cook with yet. Yeah!!!

CHELSIE'S BAPTISM

Chelsie's baptism was on Saturday, September 11, 2010. It was a wonderful day attended by lots of family and friends. David baptised and confirmed her and did a beautiful job.
After, we went to our house and ate and played. I meant to invite so many other people, but flaked. Sorry to those who didn't know and wanted to attend.

CHELSIE'S 8TH BIRTHDAY

Well, almost one month ago was Chelsie's 8th birthday. She has been so excited to get baptised and especially to get her own scriptures with her name embossed on them. She was so cute at her interview with the bishop. She put her dress on and wanted to ride her bike over there, so she and David rode their bikes to the church. For her birthday, we did our usual family thing. We went to dinner at Chuck-a-Rama, got a cake at Dairy Queen (since Mom didn't get one made in time), and opened presents. It was fun. Chelsie got scriptures, a scripture case, a CTR necklace (from Grandma Wainwright), a new church dress, a cute tutu, and a couple other things. Becca hadn't left for college yet, so we all got to be together.

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL

Monday, the 23rd, was our first day of school. As Nathan left the van and headed into the Jr. High building, I thought, "I forgot to take his picture. Oh well, I will do it after school." Well, I didn't. He just headed right to class and has done terrifically.

Chelsie is in a class with tons of her friends from the ward. She has a great teacher and so far has been amazing at coming home and getting her homework done. It is weird only having one child in elementary school.

Rachel is in full swing in her senior year. I hope she has fun this year.

Carissa has started her masters program and even got an assistantship that will help her out a ton financially.

Becca will head back to BYU-I in about two weeks. School has truly started!

CHELSIE'S ABCESS

Chelsie woke up two Tuesday's ago with a swollen cheek. She had complained about her tooth hurting her for a couple of days and that night her stomach had been hurting. Well, when I saw the puffy cheek, I called the dentist right away. They saw me in about an hour (actually, Rachel took her in while I wrapped up a Presidency meeting and then I joined them). Anyway, she had had a cavity filled the last dental visit, but I guess the filling was too close to the nerve and it went bad. Anyway, last Monday, Chelsie had to have a baby root canal. It is on the top and on a baby tooth, but she won't lose it for awhile, so the dentist thought this was the best option. POOR CHELSIE. She was one tought little girl and has had an easy recovery.

CONGRATS TO RICHARD AND ELESA

YEAH! Richard and Elesa became proud parents yesterday morning. I am so happy for them. I guess they knew about it for a week or so, but were a little afraid to say anything. But, Sunday morning, the birth mom went into labor and they were called in the middle of the night to leave Mesquite and go to whatever hospital the mom was giving birth at. How exciting! I am so so happy for you guys!!!!!

MY GRANDMA WHITE

Grandma passed away last Saturday around noon. It was time for her to go home. I will miss her, but I am so grateful for the wonderful grandma that she was. I know that she loved me. Thanks Grandma! There is so much that maybe I should write, but they just feel too special to share.

I took this picture from my cousin Marta's blog. I really don't have many pictures of my grandma, but now I have this one (thanks Marta).
Anyway, I have been struggling with my blog lately because I have discovered what a private person I am. I have quite a few things I could add, but I am selfish and keep them to myself. I know I should open up more, but it is hard for me.
