This Weekend was our Stake Conference and Elder Holland came to visit. It was a wonderful weekend! Elder Phippen of the 5th Quorum of the Seventy was the General Authority that came with him and they were both great! David, Becca, and I were all in the choir, so that left Rachel down in the audience to keep control of Chelsie and Nathan. She did pretty well, but I guess she had to separate them and sit between them. At one point, Elder Holland was speaking to the youth, and rather loudly said, "Don't ever leave the church." That scared Chelsie. She wasn't sure if we would ever be allowed to go back to our home. Rachel explained it to her and she felt better.

Of course, the Saturday night session was great. As I was entering the building Saturday night, the leaders were still eating their dinner just off of the kitchen, and my friend called out and said, "Shannan, I used your bread stick recipe!" She was all excited, and I felt kind of good. Elder Holland has eaten my very fattening bread sticks (ha, ha, ha).

Thanksgiving

We had a nice time in Kemmerer, Wyoming for Thanksgiving. We made it just in time for the feast on Thursday morning (how convenient), and Mom W. made everything. She is amazing! It was all very delicious. Mom W. took the whole entire family to see Enchanted on Friday night. What a cute movie!!!

Grandpa Hagberg came up and took Nathan fishing at Farmington Pond. They had a great time and each caught their limit. The fish was super yummy! Thanks Grandpa!!!

Our Young Women held a "Prom Night" for their Standards Night. They had activities where the girls chose their prom dresses from a bunch of dresses our leaders had gathered. Some of the leaders who are hair stylists offered to do hair, and on the night of the Prom, it was suggested that the dads buy flowers and take their daughters to dinner. David did take Becca and Rachel to The Mandarin for dinner, but no flowers were involved. After dinner, they all went the Eldredge Manor where they danced and had a really good time.

Just Beginning

This is my first blog. Anne inspired me with her cute updates and fun pictures. I hope to be able to put pictures on here and make it a fun place to check out once in awhile.

Today was a quality teaching day, so the kids were home all day. We were all pretty lazy till around 5:00 when we all spent one hour trying to get the house in order. You should have seen it. After an hour of vacuuming and tidying, we are livable again.

Tonight, for dinner, we are having Enchiladas. David should be home soon and then we will eat and have Family Home Evening. Last week we copped out and all went to the movies. We went to the Kaysville Theater and Becca and Rachel saw Hairspray, and David, Nathan, Chelsie, and I saw Harry Potter. Chelsie and I were in the foyer for about 1/3 of the movie.

Who knows what we will do tonight!
