This Week

This week has been kind of busy, but that is what I need.

Monday, we spent the whole day getting Nathan caught up on late assignments. I don't know how he got so far behind, and even when we were doing things, some of them I know he had done, just didn't turn them in. Anyway, we are all caught up.

I subbed at the elementary school on Tuesday (in the reading room) and Wednesay (for a 5th grade class).

Thursday was the Blue and Gold Banquet and I helped make stuff for that. Nathan wrote a skit about being honest that had a good moral but was also funny.

This morning I went to the Salt Lake Temple to babysit some kids while their uncle got married. There were three children ages 5, 3, and 2 months and they were darling. They were the children of one of my first beehives. It was so fun to see her and her cute family today. Her parents and brother (the one getting married) live in our ward, but no one knew he was getting married. I just assumed that our announcement didn't arrive, but when I talked to his Mom today, she said that she had strict instructions to not mail the announcements out until today. I didn't even get to see the bride and groom because I wanted to get back to get Chelsie off to school.

Hey, I found the picture of Becca wearing my Gunne Sax. Pretty groovy, huh?

My 80's Dresses

Becca went through my old dresses in my hope chest. I have only saved a couple, and she thinks they are funny. All of them are homemade, and they have some sentimental value. One is the one Mom made by placing newspaper over Sister Smith's Gunny Sax dress and recreated for Heather and me for Christmas when we were about 17. Becca tried on my Senior Prom dress. Oooh! I loved the soft flow of the Quiana (did I spell it right?) It had a cute floral jacket that went over the top. The floral dress (it is store bought) I bought to wear to the temple when I got married, and the blue dress was what Mom made for me when I graduated from Rick's College. Can you believe that one of my children would not appreciate my 80's dresses?
