Nathan received his Bear patch on Thursday night, March 27, 2009. He has worked hard for this, and his leaders have helped a ton. He has two great den mothers who keep track and plan things to help all the Bears pass of their requirements. He also earned a gold arrow. After Nathan received his Bear patch, we got to see a Webelo receive his Arrow of Light. It was a better than average ceremony. Nathan will be a Webelo in July and really enjoys his scouting. If they fished every week, it would be even better.

Happy Birthday to Us!
This weekend, my whole family (wow!), Mom and Dad and siblings and spouses (and some nephews), helped Heather and me celebrate our birthdays. We met at the Cheesecake Factory, and even though it was a long wait, they all endured and it was fun being together. I have decided, though, that for that many people, it is too hard to do the restaurant thing if you really want to see and talk to everyone. I am so grateful for my brothers and sisters and their spouses. They are all wonderful people, and if I had my way, they would get so sick of me because I would hang out with all of them all the time. I guess as it is, I hardly see any of them. Oh well, at least I don't think they are sick of me. Thanks everyone who came!

Lunch with Friends
Yesterday, some friends took me to lunch at Robintinos for my birthday (which isn't till Friday, but I guess they figured I would be busy that day). It was very relaxing and fun. Some of these friends used to live in our ward, but since our boundaries have changed, they no longer attend our ward. It was so good to see them, and even though it has only been a few months, it seems there was a lot of catching up to do. Some are starting to run marathons, some have just returned from Hawaii, some are going to Hawaii, and all but one are going on the cruise next year. It was fun.

This Week
This week has been kind of busy, but that is what I need.
Monday, we spent the whole day getting Nathan caught up on late assignments. I don't know how he got so far behind, and even when we were doing things, some of them I know he had done, just didn't turn them in. Anyway, we are all caught up.
I subbed at the elementary school on Tuesday (in the reading room) and Wednesay (for a 5th grade class).
Thursday was the Blue and Gold Banquet and I helped make stuff for that. Nathan wrote a skit about being honest that had a good moral but was also funny.
This morning I went to the Salt Lake Temple to babysit some kids while their uncle got married. There were three children ages 5, 3, and 2 months and they were darling. They were the children of one of my first beehives. It was so fun to see her and her cute family today. Her parents and brother (the one getting married) live in our ward, but no one knew he was getting married. I just assumed that our announcement didn't arrive, but when I talked to his Mom today, she said that she had strict instructions to not mail the announcements out until today. I didn't even get to see the bride and groom because I wanted to get back to get Chelsie off to school.
